HOW TO USE THIS WEBSITE
As a Sitka resident and stakeholder, you can use this website to:
• Learn about the Branding process
• Connect with the Online Resident Poll and provide us with your vision and opinions about Sitka's identity and promise to visitors.
• Follow the status of the branding process - new information will be added as the project unfolds.

The Sitka Brand Committee
Leading the Sitka Branding effort is the Brand Committee. The Committee (see members listed below) were appointed by the Sitka CVB Director based on general criteria provided by the Contract Team Manager, John Kelsh of Great Destination Strategies, LLC. The Brand Committee will work with the project facilitators at GDS in reviewing the information being gathered in order to understand Sitka's assets, the opinions and vision of the City's stakeholders, the results of the resident poll, and other data. Together the Brand Committee and the facilitators will develop a brand direction that both reflects the identity of Sitka and appeals to the different visitor target markets that support the local visitor industry. The Brand Committee will also participate in the development and approval of a Branded logo to be used by the CVB and the City.
There has also been appointed a local group that has been working on the pedestrian signage and wayfinding for the downtown. This group is working with GDS in developing the locations, messages and design of new wayfinding signs.
